BCM produces promo for Married Life Live
Biscardi Creative Media has produced a promotional video for "Married Life Live." Married Life Live is a major live event produced four times a year at Northpoint Community Church in Alpharetta, GA.

"Northpoint Community Church is THE most media savvy organization we've ever worked with. They use video and live media in everything they do so to create something that would promote their event and keep it to NCC's very high standards was definitely a challenge," said Walter Biscardi, Jr., Creative Genius.

Client Ted Lowe came to BCM with a concept that was built around the colors red and white. The spot had to be engaging, fun and would be bookended with a live actress appearing in a Christmas scene decorated in white and red. Northpoint provided all the original raw footage on DVCAM and MiniDV and then turned to BCM to take the hours of footage and pull together the promo.

In his first role as Editor for BCM, Arvie Magnuson crafted a very dynamic promo that really captured the energy and uniqueness of the Northpoint presentation. Working in the JungleLand suite with Final Cut Pro 4.5, Magnuson reviewed most of the footage and set to work finding the main story within. "Arvie has such a great knack for storytelling and timing that I knew the project was in the right hands," notes Biscardi.

Arvie cut together a very tight rough cut that was reviewed and approved by Ted Lowe. Then Biscardi set to work creating the graphics package using a combination of Photoshop and After Effects. One special effect also had to be created for the transitions out of and back into the live actress. "I call it the 'Harry Potter' effect because as the actress opens the main present, a light burst eminates from the box like when Harry uses his wand to light up a room."

The final project was turned around in just 6 days and is already airing at Northpoint Community Church and satellite locations. Biscardi was very happy with Arvie's work on the project. "All in all, a very good start for Arvie and we're thrilled to have him on the team!"
