BCM_Construction_Day 36: Setting the forms

Now we can really start to see the building in place. Metal Building Associates yesterday laid down the forms that show the outer edges of the building and they dug out the footings.

“Time Lapse” view 1 looking back. You can see the right side and back of the building formed up.

“Time Lapse” view 2. The storm pipes in the foreground will be removed this week, those are done. You can see the left side of the building forms in the background along with the small shovel that is digging the footings.

“Time Lapse” view 3. Pretty much everything in the foreground will be the parking lot with at least 21 parking spaces. Of course the property goes well beyond where that truck is parked so we have plenty of room for more parking later and of course a nice large area for Molly to run around!

Shovel smoothing out the pad after digging down for the footings. The building itself is 60 feet deep by 100 feet across and I’m standing at the back right corner of the building here.

Standing at the left front corner of the building. You can see just how beautiful of a setting this new location is. Other than the machine, all you can hear are the birds in the trees. We really can’t wait until we’re moving in and can stretch out our legs!
