So as I noted previously, we’re going to be switching out our computer displays for Apple 24″ LED Cinema Displays because they truly are sharper and cleaner than anything on the market right now. Thanks to good old Bob Zelin, we now have the answer to extend the display connections to the computers in the machine room.
The Atloona AT-DP200 DVI to Mini Display port converter allows us to plug the 24″ Apple LED Cinema display into the converter and then a regular DVI cable from the converter to our Cat5 Monitor extensions. Moreover, it’s powered by USB so we don’t even need a power cable for it. I’ll report back when we’ve had a chance to actually test these units out, but this looks promising!
