The Rough Cut starts Production

2/15/2005 SUGAR HILL, GA Biscardi Creative Media is proud to announce that production has begun on the original independent film, "The Rough Cut." Producer, Cheryl Collins and Director Walter Biscardi, Jr. led their team to locations in Alpharetta, Crabapple and Cumming, Georgia during the two-day shoot February 12 and 13. "We have a lot of home movie scenes that our main character will look through during principal photography in March so we needed to get these shot early," said Biscardi. The scenes covered all phases of the character's life from her teens to present day. Lead Actress, Cynthia Evans, confirmed Biscardi and Collins' casting decision during the shoot. "Cynthia was just fantastic jumping from scene to scene, timeframe to timeframe," notes Collins. "She has really taken ownership of the role and is bringing a tremendous amount of feedback to Walter and myself on what Jennifer would do in certain situations." Cynthia has also proven to be the ultimate team player by arriving with a car trunk full of clothing options for the various scenes and performing quick makeup changes. Biscardi and Collins were also able to bring in some of the other actresses who auditioned for the main role during the weekend. "We had some really great auditions for Jennifer and when we looked at some of these scenes, it was obvious we could offer some of the supporting roles to the women who were not chosen." said Biscardi. In particular, Anna Lamadrid was singled out for a particular role. "We have a fun scene that called for Director which was basically all ad-lib," Collins noted. "Anna just ran with it and with the combination of Michael Collins playing the Actor, the scene came out much funnier than we had envisioned it." All in all, it was an excellent start of production for "The Rough Cut" and Biscardi even arranged for a special "wrap" scene for Evans. "We wrote in a little scene for the end of Sunday where Jennifer and her family enjoy the new hot tub. Once we yelled 'cut,' Cynthia relaxed and enjoyed the hot tub with a glass of champagne. I think she was pretty comfortable." said Biscardi. Collins and Biscardi are now in the final planning stages for Principal Photography scheduled to take place from March 18 - 20, 2005.
