Staff_Nicole2013_ThumbnailsStarting her career in Corporate America, Nicole Wright worked as a manager for Cintas Corporation where she most notably implemented and led the six sigma initiatives for the 150+ person Lawrenceville, GA location. During her time at Cintas, Nicole also worked in sales and HR.

Wright soon discovered that she had a passion for serving her community. As a result, Nicole most recently worked with Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development, where she was responsible for the initiatives focused on the recruitment and expansion of technology companies to Metro-Atlanta. This included software, data center, health IT, FinTech and digital entertainment companies.

In addition to recruiting technology companies to Gwinnett, Nicole spearheaded the launch of the State of Georgia’s Camera Ready program in Gwinnett County. As the camera-ready liaison for her community, she assisted film production companies with location scouting, permitting and other production needs.

Wright currently serves her community as a board member for both ADFP (The Association of Diverse Fitness Professionals), and Gwinnett based non-profit Divine Authority. Nicole serves on the advisory committee for both Lanier Highschool’s: Center for Design and Technology (CDAT) program and The Gwinnett Coalition’s: Great Days of Service program.

Nicole earned her BBA from the University of Georgia and her Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Believing that it is important to always be active, Nicole during her free time is a dance instructor at Aerobics, Yoga & More in Lilburn, GA.

Getting to know you…

Have you read those magazine articles where they ask a star a bunch of random questions? Well, since none of us are movie stars we decided to skip waiting and holding our breath for a call. We went ahead and interviewed ourselves! Enjoy.

1. What is your BCM title/nickname?
MacGyver - It doesn’t really matter what the task is, I take it on and figure it out … using nothing but duct tape and a paperclip.

2. It’s Saturday, and you have nothing on your to-do list, how do you spend the day?
I would start with a dance class, do a little shopping, read a good book, take a nap, eat dinner at a new restaurant, and find a place to listen to live music afterwards.

3. If you could be an animal what would you be?
I would’ve said a black panther but recently learned there is really no such thing (worse than finding out about Santa). So now I have to say a “melanistic leopard”

4. What is your favorite part of your job?
Meeting new people and working with so many different industries. I’m always learning something new.

5. If you could’ve named yourself what would your birth certificate say?
Alanna. I like names that end in “a”

6. Your guilty pleasure?
Really, do I have to? Fine … {mumbles}, You couldn’t hear me - ok then ANIME. Now the whole internet universe knows, sheesh.

7. One word to describe yourself.
Singular

8. Your favorite movie?
No comment. I refuse to be boxed in this way.

9. On a Desert Island you can only have one type of meal and one album. What would they be?
My mom’s curry chicken roti and peas and rice; What’s an album? Can I have an iPhone and subscription to Spotify instead?

10. If you could sit at a diner and chat with one person over a meal, who would you choose?
My Grandfather
