R. John Becker joined BCM in 2009 hailing originally from upstate New York. A graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, John has been in video and broadcast production for almost 20 years.

Starting with Cable Vision Industries in New York, R. John continued his career at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut as an Editor / Producer for their Creative Arts Services Dept. In that role, he oversaw and edited hundreds of internal and broadcast projects for the Resort.

2009 brought R. John to Atlanta and BCM where he has brought his great storytelling touch to a myriad of projects including This American Land, Assignment Earth and Global Health Frontline News. In addition, his engineering prowess has been a real asset to BCM

He currently resides in the Atlanta area with his lovely wife, beautiful daughter along with the other “kids,” 2 pugs and 3 cats.

Around BCM John is also known as the Cat Whisperer. He just has a way with felines….

Getting to know you…

Have you read those magazine articles where they ask a star a bunch of random questions? Well, since none of us are movie stars we decided to skip waiting and holding our breath for a call. We went ahead and interviewed ourselves! Enjoy.

1. What is your BCM title/nickname?
Don’t call me Shirley. But lately my nickname seems to just be “JOHN!”

2. It’s Saturday, and you have nothing on your to-do list, how do you spend the day?
A beer … wait, correction, beers (plural) and a hammock … I miss my old hammock.

3. If you could be an animal what would you be?
I’d be a pug, I have a few and see how they get to live

4. What is your favorite part of your job?
I work on something different each week

5. If you could’ve named yourself what would your birth certificate say?
Him?

6. Your guilty pleasure?
Fresh baked Churro, nothing like them fresh and hot

7. One word to describe yourself.
Interesting

8. Your favorite movie?
Monty Python & The Holy Grail

9. On a Desert Island you can only have one type of meal and one album. What would they be?
Mr. B’s roast beef and potato nuggets; Def Leppard (first album)

10. If you could sit at a diner and chat with one person over a meal, who would you choose?
James Gandolfini … too soon?
