Walter Biscardi, Jr. is the creative genius and owner of Biscardi Creative Media. He founded his creatively driven company with one idea in mind: whatever you can envision, it can be created. Walter is also a disciplined professional who understands the importance of a deadline and a budget. After studying film and video production at the renowned Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University Walter’s career began with editing for a national and international audience at CNN.

In 1995 Biscardi designed and managed a new media production facility for Foxwoods Resort Casino. 1997 brought Walter back to Atlanta for a Senior Editor position and then in 2001 he introduced Biscardi Creative Media.

Biscardi has produced and edited programming that airs on The Food Network, NBC, The Weather Channel, Georgia Public Television, PBS, among others. He has also produced work for companies such as IBM, The Home Depot, Kroger, Jacoby Energy, Nortel, and Oglethorpe Power to name a few. A recognized industry leader, Walter has been recruited by companies such as Apple, Panasonic, AJA Video Systems, ATTO Technologies, and Small Tree Communications to test and find ways to improve hardware and software solutions for the film and video industry.

He counts a national Emmy, Peabody, Regional Emmys, CableACE awards, Telly & Aurora awards among his many honors and credits. When he’s not in production you can usually find him in his home kitchen whipping some homemade pizza on the grill or a mean espresso. Walter lives in the Atlanta area with his beautiful wife Rebecca and their “child” Molly the Wonder Dog.

Getting to know you…

Have you read those magazine articles where they ask a star a bunch of random questions? Well, since none of us are movie stars we decided to skip waiting and holding our breath for a call. We went ahead and interviewed ourselves! Enjoy.

1. What is your BCM title/nickname?
Creative Genius

2. It’s Saturday, and you have nothing on your to-do list, how do you spend the day?
Would most likely be a lazy start with making breakfast out on the grill, probably a movie in the afternoon and then break out the cookbook and create something from scratch for dinner. Yes, I love to cook and would happily open a restaurant if my wife would let me.

3. If you could be an animal what would you be?
A dog of course.

4. What is your favorite part of your job?
Surprising people. Hearing “I never expected to see something like that.” It’s a good feeling to exceed expectations. As Walt Disney said, “It’s kind of fun to create the impossible.”

5. If you could’ve named yourself what would your birth certificate say?

Don’t think they could have done any better. My name encompasses my dad, grandfather and uncle, three of the most awesome people I’ve ever met.

6. Your guilty pleasure?
High Road Ice Cream. Doesn’t matter the flavor.

7. One word to describe yourself.
Passionate

8. Your favorite movie?
It’s a Wonderful Life / A Christmas Story. Tough to choose between those two. The Princess Bride and Spaceballs two more classics.

9. On a Desert Island you can only have one type of meal and one album. What would they be?
My grandmother’s grilled cheese sandwich and “It Might As Well Be Swing” by Frank Sinatra with Count Basie.

10. If you could sit at a diner and chat with one person over a meal, who would you choose?
My Dad
